We transition adults into exciting tech careers with hands on professional skills, so you must be at least 18 years old to enroll.
You can communicate in English
Effective communication with tutors, classmates, and mentors in spoken and written English is essential for conversational proficiency.
You can attend and participate in at least 90% of the course and fully engage
You must be able to attend and fully participate in at least 90% of the scheduled sessions to successfully complete a bootcamp. You need to have rapt attention during class hours so that you can participate in the sessions. This means that you can’t be working whilst you’re in sessions.
You are receptive to collaboration and are eager to learn and engage.
At 1X1Institute, you will work closely with your peers in small groups. Understanding the importance of teamwork, and openly contributing and collaborating with your team is an essential part of the course. You need to have a desire to learn new skills, develop your existing transferable skills, and be willing to fully engage and participate in the course.
You possess the essential IT skills and technology required for success.
You need to have basic computer skills to access our Labs and Online Classes. You will need a laptop or desktop computer, a webcam, a microphone or headset, and a stable internet connection. As the course is interactive with lots of discussion, you must be on camera during sessions and have a suitable, quiet place at home to focus and engage.

As a condition of your enrolment offer, we kindly ask you to complete some pre-course work. This involves 6 hours of self-guided study, where you'll engage with videos, read materials, and tackle a series of brief exercises and quizzes within 2 hours.
Our pre-course work aims to equip you with the essential knowledge required for the course, ensuring that all participants begin the first day with a shared understanding. It also evaluates your dedication and problem-solving abilities while providing you with a commitment-free chance to determine if a career in cyber security is the right path for you.
